Verbal mannerisms and phrases you overuse

I notice I keep saying 'totally' when I agree with someone. Its very annoying. Like my DD and her then boyfriend saying '100%' to everything.

What things do you say that you think - oh no, I'm totally overusing that?

Apparently I say "what was that all about" a lot according to Dh. I really don't I think.

In my defence I say it because I don't think I explain myself very well and it's my way of apologising to the other person for my poor explanation.

But I realised it comes across very patronising, that I think the other person is too thick to understand what I'm saying. (I don't think that at all)

I run a business so I have to write a lot of messages to customers. My most used phrases:-

I do hope you understand

Im so sorry to hear that .....
Our policy on XX is

I have standard messages to deal with every situation which is likey to arrive and I just cut and paste as appropriate. Saves a lot of time and effort.
