Anyone up to much? It’s been crazy busy here in Cornwall. I think everyone’s out doing their shopping before the crowds descend for Easter. I was out a lot longer than usual this morning. Asda, Aldi, Butchers ( lovely chicken for Sunday & some unsmoked back bacon), Bakers & Tesco’s as DH suddenly remembered he needed bread flour. The traffic was unbelievable & people were queuing out of the shops. No work today. I didn’t get as much done as I’d planned but it’s been nice. Some quality time with the bunnies. DH put a broccoli floret in his mouth & let each bunny take it out. One of the boys really didn’t know what to do - so cute! Wish I’d filmed his reaction. Working 6 hours tomorrow. Might pop over to see my folks afterwards. DH making pizzas for Saturday tea( he froze some dough the other week & I’ve bought toppings including pepperoni). We may watch a film or another episode of The Queen’s Gambit on Netflix which is very good. Not sure about Sunday yet. It’s virtually impossible to persuade DD12 to leave her room. DH & I might go for a walk & bribe her with a Costa’s to come with us ( the local Spar has a machine). We have the aforementioned chicken for tea with roast spuds & roast carrots, broccoli, sage & onion stuffing & gravy. Haven’t had a roast for ages so really looking forward to it.

We’ve got an Easter cake box to pick up from a local fancy dessert place and a Gousto box coming tomorrow. We also need to go to Costco: fun times! Basically, our weekend revolves around food so we better go for a couple of decent walks too.

Yoga at 9 and then a walk around 11. Shopping in the afternoon and some cleaning. Exact same routine since lockdown. It's a nice routine but hopefully kids will be back training soon so there will be a bit of variety.

Yoga and walk again tomorrow. Dh bought some new garden furniture and lots of plants and seeds so I guess that's what he is planning to do this weekend.

I'm going to finish making a kimono, make some bunting for the garden and then meet a friend for a walk this afternoon. Tomorrow I'm going to make a start on a summer dress. I'm trying to lose weight (2 stones so far and 4 to go) so if my hands are busy I don't snack! Happy weekend everyone!

My DCs have been banned from their consoles for the weekend.

We have tomato, courgette, radish and button squash plants to plant. Our lcoal ice cream shop (which features proper Italian gelato!) is open so we will go there. I want to visit the fishmonger as i have a craving for scallops and octopus (although the latter is usually marinated in tubs from Greece). We will watch 2 Harry Potter films. I am about to make instant noodles for breakfast. :)

I am meant to have a dog walk later with my closest friend whio has actually broken her foot but is hobbling on crutches.

Good day actually!

Mydogisagentleman · 27/03/2021 08:40

Shopping and cleaning today, I’ll try to get some washing out and change our bed.
Work tomorrow from 1 till 10, then sleep and home Monday morning.
Hopefully I will be able to get the dog down to the beach later

Kids at tutor this morning and may take them for a McDonald's

We have tickets for the local NT gardens later this afternoon

Nothing else at all planned. I've gone on strike from cooking Sunday lunch so will be interesting to see what happens tomorrow.

quarentini · 27/03/2021 08:53

Got a 12 mile walk planned for today.
I'm not really feeling it but will be ok once I get going.

EileenGC · 27/03/2021 08:56

Shopping, cleaning, online church, some online work tonight and going in tomorrow, who knows for how long. I might meet a friend for dinner tomorrow if I'm done at work early-ish. Bedding and towels also need washing, and I have a tonne of laundry!

wendz86 · 27/03/2021 08:56

Kids are at their dads till later on. I've had a sausage baguette and coffee delivered from greggs.
Need to sort a few bits out to sell on facebook selling page. Also planning on doing a bit of cleaning before the kids get back and possibly a walk if i can fit it in.

Trying to decide if I will roll out and bake croissants or am. Too lazy. I have my last Cub Scouts meeting (before a 2 week break) on zoom later this morning, so I need to finish off making a "Kim's game" via PowerPoint. I finished the virtual camp challenge slides yesterday.

BiddyPop · 27/03/2021 09:20

Oops, meant to hit return not post there.

Rest of today will be paperwork for Scouts and doing a run to storage unit to put things away and possibly get out a few of my camping bits for the garden. And restoring seeds after the blackbirds have down such a good job digging over my freshly dug and planted veg bed. Dd wants to go to M& S locally for dinners.

Nice steak for bbq dinner. Earth Hour tonight so I am planning the light the log burner in the garden and enjoy a glass of wine wrapped up out there.

Tomorrow will involve a long walk, and any of today's jobs that I didn't finish. I am also working on a big jigsaw and knitting a scarf. And have a few sewing projects I could pull out and try to make progress on. And some housework.
