Help with fundraising ideas for autism assistance dog for our son during lockdown/covid19 restrictions

Good morning, a while ago i posted a message on here and in the doghouse about assistance and support animals for children with autism.

Following some amazing advice, yesterday we were accepted by a non profit company for our son to be placed with a dog in the next 12 months!

But now the cost!! Over £9000!! Now we did apply to charities But they turned us down as the deemed our son too old at 9!!! So we have to do this ourselves and while we are aiming to save all we can we do need help.

So last night i set up a just giving page as used by other families on the program and we set up a little fundraising business selling fun wax melts

But we have come stuck at thinking of other ideas due to covid lockdown's and restrictions!! No fun runs and sponsored walks that we can host as a group!

We are really stuck so thought we we come back to where we have had some fantastic advice before and ask of anyone had any good ideas of what we can do in these times to fundraise further?? We are stuck!!

Also if you know of any forums that we can share our cause with as i know mumsnet do not allow that so i have kept the key info out of this post!! Butbif you mnkw anybthat do allow please let us know

And of you would like to share our story on social media please DM and we will happily send a link or info!

I'd go to the local paper and radio with your story. Esp if your boy is involved in making wax melts. Put updates on the JG page (I prefer Go Fund Me as it lends itself more to updates. Also ask people to share to page, anyone who donates ask them to share x
