I'd contact your house insurance company about this.

Personally I’d get a builder in, one who has been recommended.

I would strongly advise you not to contact your insurance co as a first move! Even if it turns out there is no problem they will mark your file as having been investigated for structural issues and that will have to be disclosed for ever more, even if there is no problem!

As a Structural Surveyor. Or even a builder you trust: it may be that you need a lintel putting in.

I ve just spoken to window fitter and he said across wide spaces its common for slight bow sometimes when its carrying a load he leaves a small gap to allow for this.

Thanks for insurance advice.

How old is the house, vs how old are the windows? Some house were not built with lintels over windows and the original window frames would include a supporting lintel on the top. Sometimes when these original (usually wooden) window frames were changed for upvc or aluminium ones this wasn't taken in to account and after a while they started to droop or bow. It's a fairly easy and now too expensive remedy - either reinforced window frames when refitted or remove some bricks, add a lintel, rebrick.

Thank you, it's so confusing with surveyor's!

I think about 195os and its a wide expanse across alliumimum French doors
