Mini honeymoon suggestions

Hello,

Wanted to get some good suggestions please for a mini honeymoon in the U.K., guessing 2-3 nights max, autumn this year, ideally around Buckinghamshire / Oxfordshire / potentially Surrey or Berkshire.

Abso-blooming gorgeous hotel is a must, ideally a boutique type / more independent, but happy with a chain if it’s super dooper (let’s face it, don’t think the classic 2-3 weeks long haul destination thing is going to happen this year!) so whilst not sure alllll the honeymoon cash will be splashed in 3 days, there’s a decent chunk to go around.

Not that bothered about spas, but big fans of walks / interesting places to explore in the vicinity “new things to see”

Anyone with any great romantic suggestions, please throw them this way!

Not in the area you said but we stayed here www.stratfordtownhouse.co.uk/ for ours. The rooms are stunning, the food is gorgeous, the staff were absolutely perfect I literally could not fault anything. And it's such a beautiful part of the country too.

Watching with interest as we are still due a honeymoon following our wedding last October. It's Hampshire too far as Limewood is lovely as are The Pig hotels.

Talking about it has made me desperate to go back! The room we stayed in had the most beautiful roll top bath in it 😍 they refulled a decanter of port every day, champagne happy hour in the bar and the bar manager sourced us some tickets to a sold out show! !!

I would go to Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Oxfordshire - it looks so amazing.
Lovely countryside round there, plus Oxford if you've never been?
I'm hoping one day I'll have both the ££££ and the person to go with!

Oh bloody hell, can’t believe Le Manoir completely fell off my radar!, yes!

Baliffs Court Hotel on the South Coast or Stapleford Park in Melton Mowbray are pretty fabulous.

Or Chewton Glen in the New Forest.

I’ve stayed in the Stadhampton one a couple of times. Rooms are amazing, food lovely as well. You can often get really good groupon deals mid week (or at least you could press covid).
