Simple things you’re grateful for

Feeling pretty positive today and reflecting on the things I’m grateful for in life.
What 3 simple things are you grateful for that you take for granted?
Decided not to go with children, home, pets, food to eat etc as I don’t take those things for granted.
I’m going to pick...

  1. How great it feels to be in cosy bottoms and a sweatshirt, hair up and no where to go.
  2. Music! I couldn’t live without it!
  3. The fact that the stars and moon exist, they are beautiful!

I started doing a daily gratitude practice a couple weeks ago and honestly the difference is immense! But then I stopped after a week. It's meant to be five small and simple things. I only do three. My three yesterday were:

  • grateful that I like my friends' boyfriends and get on well with them
  • grateful that days are getting longer
  • grateful that my old dog seems well and happy at the moment

Does anyone know if there is a gratitude thread somewhere on MN where we could all do it together/hold each other accountable? I think I'd find it uplifting!

@TreeDeeDum I love the idea of the gratitude journal!
I’d love to join that,
I think for today the 3 things I would choose are...

  1. Excited about all the walks we’ll be going on now the weather is nicer with our outdoor cookware and tools to learn bushcraft skills.
  1. My beautiful bedroom in the evenings... and having it to myself at the moment as my youngest is sleeping in his own bed!
  1. Having plenty of delicious fresh food in the house to choose from for meals.

@LoveFall hummingbirds at the feeder sound amazing! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a real life humming bird.

You need to visit Vancouver, when we can finally travel again. The Anna's Hummingbird is our official bird. They are gorgeous colours right now and virtually glisten in the sun. The only bird that can fly backwards, and they are lightening fast.

I'd love a gratitude thread! Today I'm grateful for:

New glasses
Having moments of happiness watching uplifting stuff online
The weather has been gorgeously sunny today Smile
