Over 2 years ago my 33 year old boy was found dead of blood clot blocking lungs. Online information said symptoms are not obvious but a recent nurse appointment she told me that pain in calves are. Could he have been helped?doctor said no appointments that day but he never said about calves pain

I can't help with the medical side, but I am so, so sorry about the loss of your son. ((to you))

So sorry to hear this. Be aware that not all pulmonary emboli are precipitated by DVTs. I had two PEs as a result of Covid and did not have any calf pain as there was no DVT - they were “de novo” clots in the lungs only. Similarly I had a clot in my kidney without any leg involvement. I did have a lot of flank and chest pain, but GPs were very slow to send me to hospital. I was lucky to be OK in the end.

Flowers for you.
