Hi, lost my private medical insurance benefit last year when I left my old company. I am now 60 and thinking about some medical cover including dental.

I have had a good look at WPA (Elite cover is coming out at £126 per month including the top London hospitals). I will call them if I need to but are there any kind people who have investigated this please and can give any tips.

We were advised to change to WPA by a financial adviser. It was the best advice we have had in many years. Our premium has more than halved and we get complete cover plus £200 back on dental and optician bills each year. (For any one reading this, they don’t take people who have had cancer or heart disease). My DS and DiL are with them as well and we are all very happy with the cover they offer. We have many friends who can’t join them because of pre-existing conditions who are jealous of us.
