I'm not sure I want to know the answer, but is anyone able to translate some teen slang for me?

I just saw that a bloke has posted on DD's Instagram 'jumpers fire my guy'. I've not really been able to work it out but the little I have found has made my heart sink. She's 20, so an adult but has made some very poor decisions in the last year which make me think she can be a bit vulnerable.

Anyone able to translate for me?

@Plumedenom

Oh shit. I'm old. Can someone please give me a run-down of teen speak please before my kids hit adolescence and I'm lost?!
There's no point - it will all have changed by then!

OP I just asked my 16 year-old to translate for me and she said "In your world Mother it would mean 'absolutely spiffing top my dear'" (the cheeky mare).

My 21 year old DD hasn’t heard this phrase either

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 25/03/2021 14:00

He is saying the thought of a bj gets him hard Hence the fires my guy.

@Blondefancy

Just for reference absolutely no young person would say “fire new car” hahaha, we’d say that new car is fire
I laughed at this too 🤣

DH works in a prison that is part adult part YOI, he said jumper means jumper or lately any kind of top eg 'mans jumper is fire bruv' this has also been said to him in a sarcastic context when one of his patients asked him why he dresses like a children's TV presenter (stripey t shirt). The only other time it's used is when one of the young people try and jump over the railings onto the anti suicide netting to cause havoc but that is a very niche prison thing.

I can’t actually believe people are insinuating this means drugs or oral sex.

Log onto TikTok and scroll for ten minutes or so. ‘Fire’ is a word young people use to say something is cool or nice. Young people call their friends ‘my guy’. A common greeting for example amongst my 17yo nephew and friends is ‘yessss my guy.’

If you used the word ‘jumper’ to refer to anything to do with oral sex amongst a group of twenty year olds I guarantee you’d get a ‘wtf are you on about?’

But that aside, OP your daughter probably has given someone a blowjob. And that’s fine - she is allowed to do that. The thought of it probably shouldn’t make your heart sink!

OP has said her daughter is vulnerable and this guy is bad news. I don't suppose it's the blow job so much as any sort of contact and relationship between the 2 that makes OP heart sink.

@Kona84

I take it to mean your jumper makes me hard Lights the fire in his ‘guy’ Gets him going.

I'm actually crying at this 😂😂

I've been on the urban dictionary site; whilst many of the phrases are unknown to me I am familiar with a few of the terms. Is UD UK based? Many phrases are used solely by specific social groups. Some are used by younger people trying to look cool in front of others. Some are older and no longer in use.

I never assume that just because I am not familiar with something that others are all wrong.

Thank god I'm not young.

Rather niche indeed but interesting! @KingdomScrolls
