I can sort of see it. I really, really don't get how his sidekick is such a success with the laydees however. Especially not when the tash appeared.

I find his sexual exploits creepy in the books, tbh. He's obviously (from the books) not All That, I have no idea what women see in him. But the books are very funny & full of colour.

Oh God ! Yes ! He is absolutely gorgeous.

I haven't read the books but I fancy the original inspector in the television series. The Young Montelbano does nothing for me.
