What do I want for my birthday?

Coming up soon, and DH and young adult DCs want me to give them a 'wishlist' .

Help! I have NO idea.
I don't really NEED anything. I'm fortunate that when I want books/clothes etc I can afford to buy them.

Has anyone received the perfect 'gift they didn't know they needed' recently?

I dont think anyone can give sensible answers to this without knowing a bit more about you....

This was me. Like many I celebrated a milestone bday recently. I honestly feel I own everything I need.

Ask for experiences, days out /theatre / concert/ Beach day/ New Outfit etc

Obviously once we are allowed to do those things again.......

Subscription service from an independent bookshop? I bought one from Daunt books and it went down really well and spreads your celebration throughout the year! You can specify what genre you like/what you’ve read and each month they send you a new book

This would've been a great shout, except that I got some for Christmas! Agree, they're fab - use them all the time.

I started collecting a particular type of pottery, means there is a ready made wish list for every birthday/Christmas. Anything like this you would like?

I’m heading towards 40. If my birthday was the right time of year I’d ask for a day out with my family at a local attraction for my gift.

Subscription to a gardening magazine, they often include free packets of seeds through spring & summer.
Decent cold frames. I have ones from a greenhouse firm, aluminium with raisable lids, infinitely useful.
A special tree or flowering shrub eg magnolia, fig, citrus, a cherry tree that fruits do you don’t just get the blossom like ornamental ones.
Would you consider a beehive? Along with a beekeeping course from a society?

My mum got me a flower subscription gift for my birthday - I get a bouquet of flowers delivered every month - such a lovely gift - it feels like a real treat when it arrives as I don't normally buy myself flowers and I really enjoy arranging them - I often have too many to fit into one vase. It is from Arena flowers, they also do weekly / fortnightly subscriptions, would definitely recommend it.
