What could I do for work instead?

I am currently a nursery manager, due to go on maternity leave in the summer. I don’t want to go back to this after my maternity leave.

Has anyone got any ideas of what I could do instead? I have a foundation degree in early years and education.

You could look into being a nanny with own child (or without).

Or if you did a significant amount of business management, admin, accounts etc you could go in that direction. Or into, say, retail management.

Will you need to go back for a little bit to secure your maternity pay?

Sorry if this has changed since I had my dc but that was always the case.

Once that notice period is over - what about nannying? Some families are happy to pay a reduced rate if you bring your own dc.
