We received a letter in the post, stamped, franked by royal mail.
It was an unsealed self-seal envelope, with the sticky-strip peel-off cover still intact, so had never been sealed. Nothing at all in it.
Properly addressed with the postcode, but addressed to "A Neighbour"

Was 'A Neighbour' hand written or typed?

I think the Jehovah's Witnesses are sending loads of handwritten letters out at the moment. I suppose lockdown has curtailed their doorstep bothering and they found alternative strategies.

We had one today from the Jehovah’s too, hand written letter and a leaflet.
I guess they forgot to stuff your envelope.

I thought it was quite sweet, and the author had signed it with her name and email address but I’m not tempted.

JWs - they can't doorstep at the moment due to covid so are sending 'handwritten' letters.

We got a similar JW one today too, the lady supposedly lived around the corner though, I couldn’t get past the point of why put a stamp on it?!

There wasn't actually a letter though? Just an empty envelope?

It's probably a general letter sent by somebody to everyone in the area (such as JWs for example as mentioned), but they forgot to put the letter in your envelope. It can easily happen when you're stuffing lots of envelopes in a hurry.

Another vote for JW missed an envelope in the stuffing process.

We received one of these the other day, 2 sides of A5 handwritten!

We received a handwritten JW novena yesterday too. There's a lot of it about.

Can you check with your neighbours to see if anyone else had one -preferably with the contents!

JW - we got one too -sounds like they've forgotten to put the letter in though!

We received a letter addressed to 'our dear neighbour' our son and daughter live in different parts of our town and they have received the same letter.
DM lives in a town about 10 miles away and she has got one as well. (Cheshire)
They are from the JW. Must have cost a fortune in stamps.

I had one last week entitled Dear Neighbour, this was also from the JW from a town around 20 miles away.
