I have a very small number of FB friends.

I have a friend who was there from day 1 when I first ventured onto FB. I've been friends in RL with him since 1981. I want to see his updates, but I just don't. Every now and then he gets in touch with me and I say "why don't I see your FB updates?" and he says "I don't fucking know!"

He isn't hiding me and I'm not hiding him.

Why don't I see it on my news feed? I don't look in every day but maybe 2 or 3 times a week. What do I have to do to get his updates, we both find it very odd and frustrating!

Can you "follow" him? I think there's an option to do that.

Don't you have to add people to some kind of 'favourites' list now? I'm fairly sure you do. And have you elected to see notifications from him?

I'll look into "following" him but I don't follow anyone else and seem to see their posts.

You need to follow him. (Nobody can see which of your friends you're following and if you unfollow someone they also don't know you've done that)

Also, the more you like and comment on a persons posts, the more they start popping up on your feed.
