Hi all

I live in rented, have a patio backyard, only plant is a creeper (poss weed) in one corner, rest is all paving stones. It's just me, my 4yr old & dog. I've got ds a playhouse & small sandpit. I really want to make the space lovely, somewhere i can relax & enjoy, esp on summer evenings when hes at his dads. Im hopeless with plants & home decoration!
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to make the area lovely?

That’s literally how I apply bleach but it’s cheaper and not tested on animals.

Can you reference your source for Patio Magic being tested on animals please? I've googled the life out of it and cant find any reference either way.

Budget option, lkea black plastic storage containers in the centre, say 4 to make a cube, drill holes in bottom. If they are placed together they retain water. Lavender, mint, Cosmos, sweet pea. Check plants that like full sun. Good luck

All above ideas are great.
One thing I would add is night scented stock - in a yard the scent will be gorgeous in the evenings and as they are cheap annuals you will get the scent this year. Also think about scent longer term too. Perhaps plant some jasmine, scented roses or something else scented in some of your pots.

I've found Wet & Forget sprayed on to patio slabs works better than patio magic and it will also kill moss and weeds.

Please, whatever you do don't follow the suggestions to get speakers for your garden! Your neighbours will not thank you.

@AlanThePig I will admit I assumed they did because they don’t state otherwise. I’ve found garden things a real grey area for animal testing.

Astonish used to do a patio cleaner but they stopped making it so I use bleach, oxygen bleach for gravelled areas and salt as patio weed killer.

Thank you so much for the fantastic suggestions!
