18th Birthday in Lockdown

A friend of mine had booked an igloo for her daughters 18th birthday this weekend but she’s been told today it’s no longer available. We’ve tried every local company but no one has any available.

I thought I’d see if anyone else has done anything special to celebrate a big birthday in lockdown that we haven’t thought of?

It’s her second lockdown birthday and it’s her 18th, my friend really wants to make it special for her.

An igloo? Not sure what that is sorry - but we are in a national lockdown so there’s not really much choice is there.
My DC has their18th soon and of course all their friends - no one has done anything. Family party - lovely food - few drinks is surely all that’s available- sadly.

Basically it’s a clear tent to go in the back garden, they can be decorated for meals, cinema nights or sleepovers. All in accordance with lockdown rules.

Could they do something like hire a hot tub or a projector and big screen for the weekend in the garden? Not ideal because of the weather (for the film at least)...

I would suggest hiring a hot tub for the weekend! And getting a fancy cocktail maker and canapés
