I have surgery due next Monday at a Nuffield hospital and am self funding.
I was originally told my invoice would be sent the month leading upto my operation, then the week before and now they're saying i might be invoiced when I leave the hospital, but no one can tell me for sure. Everyone I speak to tells me different, yesterday I was told they'd query it with the business manager but still nothing.
For various reasons I have to pay by cheque which I told them months ago and have reminded them every time I've spoken to them. They said that's fine.
I've just received an email which says if paying by cheque it must be received 10 working days before the op so it clears before I am admitted. I'm now 3 working days away from my op and still have not received an invoice. The cheque has to have the invoice number written on it.
Those of you who have self funded through Nuffield for operations, when did you receive the invoice and when was payment due?
