Universal credit advice- quick question!

I am a third year student and due to finish at the end of august. I am student mental health nurse and have been offered a job due to start in September/October depending on my start date/when my pin comes in etc.

I currently receive £403 a month UC (I’m a single parent). My entitlement is something around £900 but because of my student loan I have amounts deducted.

So! When my course finishes (my last placement placement finishes mid august then I’m timetabled as holiday until the end of august) do I contact UC and inform them and then what will happen? I have a job offer as I say so won’t be job hunting it’ll be a case of waiting but I need thenUC to pay my costs. I do get a student loan of course but it’ll be hard to stretch that money from April to October/whenever my first pay day is!

If anyone can give me advice on what will
Happen that’ll be great thanks

Yes ring them or put a note in your journal to say you've been offered a job and what the start date is

Ok thank you. Will the next month then be adjusted to allow for me not working/not being a student? I’m panicking about my rent and council tax

I would ring them to check but I would imagine if you will no longer be a student and technically unemployed and awaiting to start a job you'd then recieve the normal standard allowance and housing element.
