First world problem- no masterchef or football

Jesus Christ. What has the lockdown turned me into.

After staring at the same 4 walls all day WFH in my office job since last March I actually burst into tears at 6pm and opened a bottle of wine because there is NEITHER Masterchef or any premier league/FA cup/euro on tonight.

Literally fell apart. Don't tell me to read a book, I read about 3 books a week, I'm just fucking DONE with this bullshit.

I'm a 37yo professional woman losing the plot over no daft cooking drama or football.

The last 12 months can fuck off. I'm done. I'm getting in my oodie and watching South Park.

Have a look at youtube: what about watching a classic match : 1966 World Cup final? Or your team’s finest moment (1986 Milk Cup Final in this house!)

I feel your pain. There are moments when you just think - a year, and how much more is to come Sad

I have just checked and there is a load of Rick Stein's stuff on BBC iPlayer which is free to sign up to.

A lot of his stuff is about travel too so that element might ease the shabby lockdown feeling a tiny bit?

Good luck, enjoy the wineWineSmile

Bless your hearts! I have watched all the old FA cup films on Amazon and as much old Masterchef as I can online, I will do these!

Isn't it mad what being shut indoors reduces you to?

I feel ya! It's totally reasonable to cry about this. Normal service should be resumed tomorrow. Sort of.

EvilEye · 22/03/2021 23:10

@BringMeTea thanks!

Absolute bastards after a weekend.

Have you tried ready steady cook? I think it’s on most weekdays. Alternatively Netflix or Prime also have Australian masterchef on. As you can tell I too had the same predicament 😭.

Treeway · 23/03/2021 03:08

If you have prime op watch masterchef Australia, it's far better!

shutterteal · 23/03/2021 05:49

Masterchef Australia is fantastic.
If you like home programs try The Block.....similar format to MC.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 23/03/2021 07:03

@TigerDroveAgain if I recall correctly about the 1986 Milk Cup final, just don't watch the celebrations afterwards. A fat man born in the Czech Republic who died after falling off a yacht is featured.

England's narrow win over San Marino on Thursday to look forward to!

EvilEye · 23/03/2021 09:17

Thanks guys. I'm starting Australian Masterchef!

Or visit your local takeaway and watch the chef cooking?

@EvilEye
How are you liking Masterchef Australia?
