Online Yoga Recommendations

Last January I did the 30 day yoga trial with Adrianne and really enjoyed it. I would like to get back to online yoga (video rather than live classes), but not sure where to start as a beginner. Does anyone have any people that they would recommend?

Watching with interest. Incidentally how do you find a straightforward beginners 30 day trial with Adriene? I've been on the YouTube channel and just overwhelmed by choices!

I use the Down Dog app and it’s brilliant - you can set the skill level, length of time you want to do, type of yoga and area of the body you want to focus on and it will generate a video for you.

I’ve been using it for over a year and even when selecting the same settings you get a different routine every time so don’t get bored with it!

Second vote for down dog, I have full description on so I can adjust without looking at the video. It doesn't come naturally to me so I like the constant walk through, but you can change to very little commentary if you prefer.

My friend sent me a link to the 30 day challenge last January and I just signed up! Sorry, not particularly helpful! It was great, because I was overwhelmed with all the choice!

Down Dog App sounds great - thanks!

Is Downward Dog worth the subscription fee?

There are about six or more different 30 day programmes from Adriene, she's been doing one each January for some time. If you liked the one you did could you do one of the others? I worked through them all from this time last year, finished by the end of the year then did the latest one "live" in January. All free. Search 30 days of yoga, yoga camp, true, revolution etc on YouTube.

On Youtube I like Fightmaster yoga and Sarah Beth yoga obviously both free. If you search under them and put in beginners they will come up.
I teach yoga and cannot get on with Adrienne's myself but yoga is very individual.

Thanks, all suggestions being looked into.

I really like The Yoga Class ( www.theyogaclass.co ), they have a 14-day free trial and so so many great classes to choose from.

I have recently signed up and its kept me busy so far, as so many different styles of yoga to choose from plus Pilates and Barre. They also categorise by level, class length, style and body area plus a great app so you can choose what works for you even if you just have 20. mins and easy to do wherever you are.

Hope this helps x

I'm a member of Movement for Modern Life. Probably not the cheapest (although I think they offer free subscriptions for NHS staff) but as an ex yoga teacher myself, I can definitely recommend them in terms of knowing their stuff and offering a wide range of classes. Think they have a 2-week free trial too.
