Switch or Switch Light? Animal Crossing addict!

Our children clubbed together their money last year and bought themselves a Nintendo Switch with Animal Crossing. They set up an island and I joined in. I love it. It has been my go-to de-stress relaxation activity all year, and I play most days. Anyway, I want to start my own island, so I can design it how I like and not have to take the Children’s ideas into consideration (😊). I don’t play anything else except Animal Crossing.

I was going to buy myself a Switch Lite/game bundle, but my husband was saying I should get another Switch so the children can play multiplayer games and/or could use the joycons. Now, I see the sense in this, but it isn’t €120 dearer for the Switch so it is going to take me another couple of months til can’t afford it (I could afford the Switch Lite straight away). Has anyone experience with both consoles? Is the Switch that much better than the Switch Lite?

It 100% depends on if you want to connect it to the tv and use the joycons separately. We have both in our household and we enjoy both: You can always buy a pair of spare joycons as well later on. The switch is bigger, heavier and a bit bigger. Graphics are a bit better but isn't really noticeable on games like animal crossing.
