Has anyone had any experience with their own, did you find the cause/solution?

I have tried
Humidifier
Decongestant balm
Propped up

It's random at what point it starts in the evening. Can't quite gauge why
Sometimes it's 4am, last night it was 8pm
It's waking her up and she's not the best sleeper anyway so i could really do without yet another reason why she wakes Hmm

Shes 4 months and had bad reflux up until about 6-7 weeks ago. She's no longer on gaviscon. Shes breastfed and is still a sicky baby

I can't help but think this is reflux related somehow Sad

Daytime has no issue

This has been going on about maybe a month/5 weeks but in the last 2-3 weeks has become more regular

🤔

Nothing obvious has changed

Have you tried the calpol plug ins? Really helped DS when he was full of snot.

TangBloodyFastic · 22/03/2021 12:39

Ooh no I'll get one ordered today.

Oh and I've also tried saline spray.. doesn't seem to work overnight but in the morning it clears her nose fairly quickly

Last optimistic bump 🤞🏻 hoping someone has experienced similar and can offer some advice
HV told me that unless baby has a temp and/or is actually sick it's unlikely I'll get an appt for a blocked nose

My daughter was constantly congested and would projectile vomit. She has a cows milk protein allergy and once I cut dairy out of my diet and it was out of our systems her symptoms cleared up.

BuntyCollocks · 22/03/2021 22:01

My baby had this from birth - it was 100% reflux related, and she was on ranitidine until she was 4.

GiveMummyTheWhizzer · 22/03/2021 22:05

I second the calpol plug ins

Another coming to say CMPA. Reflux is often a symtom, not a diagnosis. My son has CMPA and nasal congestion was one of his biggest signs OP. I'd give cutting dairy out a go.

Whatwouldscullydo · 22/03/2021 22:16

Dd2 was a congested baby. I spent most nights witg a can of sterimar syringing out her nose.

Turns out she was cmpi and it cleared up once she was placed on prescription milk
