What are you looking forward to?

I'm quietly optimistic that we can see the light at the end of the tunnel and I'm starting to feel positive about the rest of 2021

What do you have to look forward to? Mine are:

Staycation booked for late June to celebrate my daughters 2nd birthday, it'll be her first time at the beach

Hair cut booked for May after spending lockdown looking like hagrid

Finally being able to go out to restaurants and eat something other than my own cooking!

Being able to do something other than go for walks

Long evenings and warm weather with family and friends

Sunny weekend, cycling to the pub with friends, sitting in the garden with a glass of wine and chatting with real people. Relaxing, not having to think about masks and sanitizer before we leave home.

Quite a minor ambition but I can't wait.

Touching people

I'm normally the least touchy feely person

The sun. Finding random air b n bs and packing suitcases on a whim. Planning which mountain to climb at the weekend.

Having lunch and teas in the back garden.

Evening weekday walks when the sun is setting after 8pm!

Randomly stopping at a pub for a glass of wine.

Smelling the swimming baths!

Getting my hair cut, having a glass of wine in a beer garden on a sunny day, going to a beach anywhere, and burning my face mask collection.

I'm easily pleased.

Charity shops. I'd no idea how much they were part of my life. Not just to get rid of the black bin-bags that are piling up, but riffling through the racks for good quality clothes with fabric and finish that is hard to find new, paperbacks, boxed sets, baking tins etc etc.

@Thymeout ooog think of all the goodies people are going to be chucking out when they are back open due to lockdown impulse buys!

Singing - just getting out there and singing with all my friends. Can't come soon enough for me.

Sitting in my favourite cafe with a large skinny mocha, people watching
I'm easily pleased!
