Chairs for short people who wfh

I need to get a new work chair to go in my new wfh area. My old one is cheap and cheerful and killing my back.

Am wfh full time and even post lockdown it's likely to be wfh 50/60% of my time so worth investing in a decent chair.

I am short (5 2) and tend to sit quite upright. I've tried dhs chair and it feels too big - even if fully adjusted for my stumpy legs. The actual seat seems too big if that makes sense (and I am not a small lass).

I am not fussed about arms but I do want lumbar support and tilt and head rest. All adjustable.

Budget up to £250. Ideally not black pvc - room will be all creams and wood and parrot print cushions so I'd like a cream chair if possible. But comfort needs to take precedence I guess.

Any recommendations?

I would get a foot rest if you are short too. Then adjust the chair and foot rest so that your thighs are parallel to the floor and your arm rests are level with the desk. Then you need to make sure your monitor is at eye level so you may need a stand.

I'm sure there are better explained guides if you look up ergonomic working positions or something!

I use a kids office chair from IKEA.

Also suggest a child’s chair, DD has one from IKEA which is very comfy!
