Instead of Easter Egg for eldest dd

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to pick your brains lol.

My oldest dd almost 16 isn't really one for chocolate anymore, so there's no point in getting her Easter eggs, what could I get her instead? I'll be getting my other 4 kids eggs and don't want to leave her out?

Ask her what she'd like?

MixedUpFiles · 21/03/2021 15:04

Does she want something sweet to eat or something entirely different?

LagneyandCasey · 21/03/2021 15:07

Money Grin

Happenchance · 21/03/2021 15:07

A pineapple?!

Lyricallie · 21/03/2021 15:09

If she's into make up I thought these were a cute idea (bit dearer than an egg though).

What about a tiny egg and then some Easter socks?

mumof5cn · 21/03/2021 15:10

@WorraLiberty

Ask her what she'd like?
She says she doesn't know, she's the most difficult person to buy gifts for! She isn't into make up etc yet. I did think maybe money but I'll get a plastic egg or something to put it in lol

My DD has asked for a specific book. Surely though you just spend roughly the same amount on whatever you might get her as a stocking filler or little present for birthday or Christmas - you have to know her to know whether she'd like cosmetics, toiletries, jewelry, a pen knife, a book, lego, credit for her phone or a game, a t shirt, a jigsaw puzzle, a bottle of wine or any number of options!

Clockingon · 21/03/2021 15:13

Mine always get new clothes ready for the spring and an egg.
My eldest is not a chocolate fan but will have a few mini eggs (concession to Easter) and I usually get him his favourite mints.

Lemondrops41 · 21/03/2021 15:15

Gift card for Starbucks/Costa if she likes visiting these places with her friends....

coodawoodashooda · 21/03/2021 15:15

What spring clothes? That's a nice idea.

intheenddoesitreallymatter · 21/03/2021 15:16

A new phone case maybe?

Woodlandbelle · 21/03/2021 15:16

Lidl had lovely pretty egg shaped tins. Cost very little. Could put hair clips and maybe a voucher. Little treats. Or pound coins.

ElderMillennial · 21/03/2021 15:18

Cake

Brownies

A book

Nail polish

BusterGonad · 21/03/2021 15:18

Why such high spending? Its Easter not Christmas. Just get a bath bomb or something.

littlewhitestar · 21/03/2021 15:18

Easter egg bath bombs? M&S, Lush and Amazon have them. Or lip balm or soap, lots of Easter toiletries if you google.

ElderMillennial · 21/03/2021 15:19

Yes bath bombs / something from Lush is a good idea

I got my nieces easter bath bombs from there instead of chocolate eggs one year

MindyStClaire · 21/03/2021 15:31

There must be a treat food she likes? Crisps, sweets, biscuits, cheese, olives? Get her something similar in size and cost to the eggs you're getting the others.

Didn't say I was planning on high spending?

I just want to get her something instead of an egg

I have the same with my eldest DS who isn't keen on chocolate - his younger brother will get (and love) an Easter egg. Eldest should have an Easter gift too. High spending?? Some posters just like to say something contentious rather than answering the question.

luckylavender · 21/03/2021 16:40

Book, egg, nail varnish, earrings, bath bomb, soap, sudoku book...

luckylavender · 21/03/2021 16:41

Stationery, body spray

GreenSlide · 21/03/2021 16:42

A 4 pack of blue WKD
