Working for care home or agency, advice please

I used to work in care homes for the elderly. I've been a SAHM for quite a while and am now looking to get back to work.

Agencies seem to offer higher rates of pay but does this include petrol and travel? I have a car so could do this. What are the benefits of working for an agency instead of a care home?

I'd appreciate advice, I'm trying to get back on my own 2 feet.

iME, and I have worked for both, agency gives you the best flexibility but, there’s not always the work.

I've read some awful reviews saying the agency expect you to be in 3 places at the same time and they tell you to cut short the time with clients. Also bosses not giving hours if you don't do work every hour asked. I don't want to get myself into a bad situation. I've been in one before and I've not been the same since. I do love caring but really don't want all the drama with others.

@basily is that domicillary care when you travel between clients?
I did that too. It was awful. Too many calls and too little time.
The employer forgot to give me my trades. It would have been the only way to be on time between visits
