Looking for some ideas.

Over lockdown, what has everyone done or gifted for their 9 year old boy birthday?

I got my son some lego, nerf guns and bullets, pyjamas, clothes and books, lava lamp and some craft stuff.

I’ve not got many ideas, which is a shame as it’s DS’s birthday!
He got games/ clothes/ books/ switch game/ Harry Potter sweets. He chose his favourite breakfast and will choose dinner later (or I may order him a dessert takeaway if he can’t decide) No party/ activities other than playing with his new stuff as covid doesn’t allow. He’s taken cake and sweets into school and I know his teacher will make a fuss of him too.
If anyone can think of anything else before school pick up, let me know!

My Ds will be 10 in 3 weeks. We have got him a laptop and wireless headphones with a memory card you put in I will download his favourite songs as he likes going around the house listening to music. I am going to do up a basket with his favourite sweets like nerds, hotlips, chocolate and chewie sweets. Going to make a birthday cake chocolate biscuit which he loves. For breakfast he's having pancakes then after he is going to buy a box of his favourite doughnuts. If weather is nice we will set up the tent and camp out the back and make smores.

My DS will be 9 next week. He’s got a daft puppet he wanted then bits and pieces like a slushy maker, some magic stuff, books and water balloons. Oh and silly string. He’s asked for a full Scottish breakfast but we’ll have it the day before cos that’s not going to happen on a school day! He’s chosen an extravagant cake with doughnuts added on, and gets to choose the tea which I expect will be dominos. I plan to cover the front door in banners and balloons for after school.

9 year old received Harry Potter Lego, Pokemon cards and book, clothes (character so a bit more special than usual), badminton set inc. net, 2 board games and the Pokemon game for the Switch. [plus a necklace and jewellery box because she also likes sparkly things!]

I spent a bit more than I usually would on cake decorations to keep after as there was no party.
