Please can all chocolate lovers advise me
on the best chocolate to purchase as an Easter gift for someone...

Looking for any chocolate as long as it tastes bloody amazing....

A friend of mine said Belgium chocolate is a good choice , but not being a huge chocolate fan, I would really appreciate your input ...

Well Belgian chocolate could cover so many different brands and products...

What is your budget?

Are you wanting to buy an egg or a box / bar of chocolate?

DioneTheDiabolist · 21/03/2021 10:26

Lidl's Single Origin range is delicious.

roundtable · 21/03/2021 10:28

Leonidas - expensive but worth it. I have a box on the go. It sounds really sad but it's my treat of the day! They are delicious.

There's a small company near me that makes handmade chocolates and they're amazing. It's called Chocolate craft, in Hampshire. A nice lady runs it and she does a lot for the local community. (It's not me, I promise!)

Aldi's Easter eggs seem to have come out top in a lot of reviews of eggs this year. Especially one that looks like a honeycomb. I am yet to find any Easter eggs in my local Aldi and I am very sad.

Bella6686 · 21/03/2021 10:42

Neuhaus is the best Belgian chocolatier.

Lindt and Milka strawberry chocolate 😋.

PantherPantherus · 23/03/2021 05:08

Website says shipping to U.K. temporary suspended.

ElderMillennial · 23/03/2021 12:15

Milka strawberry?

If you like that you might like the new Drumstick chocolate bar... DH surprised me with it earlier this week and I wasn't keen...

EsmaCannonball · 23/03/2021 12:24

If you are anywhere near Bakewell you used to be able to go to the Holdsworths factory (a five minute walk from the town centre) and buy chocolates direct from there. I'm not sure if that applies in covid times, but you could select the exact chocolates that you wanted, buy factory seconds, and they were cheaper and tasted fresher than the ones that come in boxes.

Alleycat12 · 23/03/2021 12:33

www.charleneschocolatefactory.co.uk does the most amazing chocolate.

User566677 · 23/03/2021 13:35

Charlenes chocolate factory she does amazing filled chocolate bars. She’s also doing filled Easter eggs.

Darkbrownistheriver · 23/03/2021 13:37

@BadMudda
Good choice!

dannydyerismydad · 23/03/2021 14:22

These are bloody amazing.

Usually you get a couple of chocolates lurking in the bottom of the box that you don't fancy. Even the flavours I don't love were delicious. www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/butlers-the-chocolate-box/442854-744485-744486

FluffyPersian · 23/03/2021 14:26

Fifth Dimension - Their chocolates are expensive but utterly, utterly delicious and they've won (very well deserved) a lot of awards.

Also - Ian Burnett, again, not cheap, but both are really, really nice and in my opinion, well worth it.

La Maison du Chocolat is the best choccy Ive ever had.
