If you've had a covid test this week, how long for the results?

Just that really. I'm waiting on a covid test result - days and days after I was told it would be "about 24hrs"

• yes I've rang the helpline, they couldn't tell me anything.
• my contact details are correct, I've checked that too.

If you've had a test sometime in the last couple of weeks, how long did it take for your results to come through?

It depends entirely on your area. However I waited 3 days once then rang helpline and it turns out my test hadn't registered somewhat.

I've passed the three day mark, I rang up and they said that the barcode had been registered but could tell me no more.

I have done 2 in the last ten days due to quarantine.
First one I posted on Sat afternoon and got result Monday evening.
Second one I posted first post Thursday and got result back early evening Friday.
They both went to the lab in Cambridge which I know works 24 hours, local labs may take longer if they aren't working around the clock

Tested last Friday afternoon. Had results early Saturday morning, just under 12 hours later. I was really surprised at how quickly it came through!

Feelingconfusedtonight · 20/03/2021 20:53

Mine was 13 hours. They told me I could contact them if I hadn’t heard back in five days

WarmSausageTea · 20/03/2021 20:56

DP had a home-test picked up this week, result three days later. We’re East Midlands.

JustAddCoffee91 · 20/03/2021 21:03

I'm on my 3rd day and still waiting I just thought it may have been busier than normal, but I may ring the helpline tomorrow just to double check

Crunchymum · 20/03/2021 21:06

Home test ordered last Sat
Arrived, taken and posted Sunday
Result (negative) 4pm Monday.

London

(Have had Hell with previous test so was happily impressed!!)

Guntor · 20/03/2021 21:22

It was done at a drive through test site so I left the test there with them, no posting.

DD had one 11am Tuesday ... results were back at midnight that night.

modgepodge · 20/03/2021 21:25

21 hours and 16 hours here this week. Sounds like you’ve been very unlucky or it’s gone missing. Can you get another test?

GeorgeandHarold66 · 20/03/2021 21:29

4 1/2 days wait, tested Wednesday first thing, just got the result now.
I rang 119 this morning and they were very nice, but useless.
It's frustrating isn't it?

fireplaceburning · 20/03/2021 22:41

@Guntor to be honest I'd book another. Sounds like it's disappeared. Mine came through in under 24 hours and a postal one I did was back in 48 hours

MirandaMarple · 20/03/2021 22:45

16 hours.

Summertime21 · 20/03/2021 23:14

I posted yesterday 11am got the result 10am today

makingmiracles · 20/03/2021 23:19

Various tbh, have one weekly through work, mostly 30ish or so hours later so test Thursday, results sat morning, one week it actually took 6 whole days to get the result!!(feb) this week I had mine back this afternoon so abit longer than the past couple of weeks by half a day

StiltonVanDeKamp · 20/03/2021 23:24

19 hours last week, I was pleasantly surprised.

Winecheesesleep · 20/03/2021 23:47

10 hours, test at 2.30pm and then results via email just after midnight.

Sorry yours have taken so long, very frustrating.

Feelingconfusedtonight · 21/03/2021 14:56

@Guntor have you heard yet?

TheGirlWithGlassFeet · 21/03/2021 15:40
