Anyone take Probiotics

I started taking them 4 days ago, the pack
Recommends 2 in the morning and 2 at night but I've been taking 1 in the morning and 1 at night and since this morning I have had terrible diarrhoea and gurgling/rumbling noises from my stomach. Could this be a side effect from the probiotic? Can't think of anything else it could be

Sounds like it is a side effect. It could be temporary. Which ones are you taking?have you had a bit google? I take acidophilus lactobacillus, one per day and no negative side effects

Everyday21 · 20/03/2021 19:54

That was meant to say 2 per day, sorry bit drunk

I eat kimchi everyday and when I first started my god my belly reacted. Apparently the bacteria need a type of carb or fibre to digest so that it can establish in your gut. I put a spoon of insulin in my coffee to feed the bacteria.

I'm sure an expert will be on to explain it better.

Mine settled after a week and my bowels are much better for it.

Inulin, not insulin sorry. Got autocorrected.

It's the Bio Kult I am taking, doesn't really say a lot on the box about side effects and a quick google said it could cause diarrhoea for first few days but the information wasn't specific to the ones I'm taking, just in general. I'm sat here and can hear my stomach rumbling Shock
