My daughter goes to nursery and she come home with them and ive noticed they wrote her name with a black marker inside the wellies even tho her name is written under her wellies. How can I get rid of this permanent marker pls help. I've tried rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover, bleach

You can’t.
Thry do need to see Whos wellies are who’s without having to puck em up and turn them over !

cameocat · 20/03/2021 14:30

That's obviously where they look for names and it underneath (where wear and tear is likely to run off). I would keep it there otherwise they'll just write it in again!

redcandlelight · 20/03/2021 14:31

you can't
why would you want to remove it?
the name under might not always be visible due to mud.

Oh god, just leave it there. Why bother removing it?

insancerre · 20/03/2021 14:31

Why does it matter?
It’s there for a reason

TeenMinusTests · 20/03/2021 14:33

Inside is where you look, otherwise you can't see the name when covered in mud.

Why does it need to be removed?

That was my first thought. What good is a name on the bottom of a welly which by it's very definition is going to get covered in mud.

I would just leave the name be.

Chemenger · 20/03/2021 14:38

Why do you want to? Just to be contrary?

ApolloandDaphne · 20/03/2021 14:41

Inside is where all wellies have the name written in. Thems the roolz

Ifiwasadaisy · 20/03/2021 15:05

You can’t, that’s why it’s called permanent marker. I would be slightly annoyed they’ve just taken it upon themselves to do it (because I usually want to pass on barely worn nursery wellies and I don’t think it’s their place to start defacing my children’s stuff) but wellies are cheap and nursery staff are busy so I wouldn’t actually raise it. I found a “stikins” sticker on the outside top edge stayed on well or I’d have written it in biro or something.

savanahnana · 20/03/2021 16:17

Surely dirt will cover the name on the bottom? They can't be wiping the soles of boots each time to work out who's is who's.
