Was give a pope Francis care sticker as a secret Santa present a few years ago. I loved it!! Have a new one to replace it with, but the old one is stuck fast. What can I remove it with?

Have you tried parking outside a Kingdom Hall?

MythicalBiologicalFennel · 20/03/2021 15:17

@MrsMoastyToasty

That would be an ecumenical matter.
You beat me to it! Grin

Nail polish remover has just got the residue off. So covered it in that, and will try again later. My Archbishop friend hates it, and is delighted it's going.. I've not told him I have a new one. GrinGrin

My colleague who brought it for me was worried I'd be offended by it. I loved it. It was the best present I got that year! Will try and find a photo of it.

Would it not be the opposite of an Exorcism..
"Begone, Oh Holy Father"
I too want to see BOTH stickers!

CongealedCrags · 20/03/2021 15:30

I was going to say offer him a tray bake but it's Lent so you might have more luck tempting him off tomorrow.

EchidnaKidney · 20/03/2021 15:32

You have an archbishop friend? This is such a weird thread! Going to need that picture

Saucery · 20/03/2021 15:32

Pink Stuff
This will get it off.
There is someone with one of those stickers who drives round where I work. Always makes me smile!

Gerla · 20/03/2021 15:34

He likes pizza - people are always trying to give him pizza so maybe try that. Grin

He came down our road a few years ago and it was more exciting than I thought it would be! I didn't get a sticker though!

SingleHandSue · 20/03/2021 15:34

@EchidnaKidney

Maybe lure him off with biscuits? Grin Or something scrapy and soap?
‘Lure him off with biscuits’🤣🤣🤣
CassandraCross · 20/03/2021 15:38

I googled Pope Francis Sticker, the only one that came up was a massive one Shock that covered the whole of a window, a picture of Pope Francis that looked like he was sitting in your car - is that the one you have OP? If it is no wonder your Archbishop friend is a bit miffedGrin.

LadyMonicaBaddingham · 20/03/2021 15:38

Terrify him off with some gay porn?

TheYearOfSmallThings · 20/03/2021 15:42

Tell him "THE POWER OF CHRIST COMPELS YOU!"

Failing that, hot water on a cloth to soften it, surgical spirits to remove the sticky residue.

amylou8 · 20/03/2021 15:44

Nail varnish remover (has to be acetone), WD40, or IPA(rubbing alcohol). One of the three will remove most things.

Is it one like this?

Any suggestions on how to get Pope Francis off my car.
motherofsnortpigs · 20/03/2021 16:07

Tell the archbishop that you’ve seen the light and no longer want the Pope accompanying you on every journey. Watch their delight in making sure every last bit of his pope-y face is removed from the car window. Do not mention that you have a new incarnation of Francis waiting in the glove box.

Fyredraca · 20/03/2021 16:07

If he's on your bonnet try the windscreen wipers. Or brake sharply that ought to do it.
