... and nobody knows what to do.

I'm in the "16-65 with underlying health conditions" group (I was CEV and Shielding last year until condition changed slightly) and GP surgery confirms that, although I've not yet received the text or letter, that I'm absolutely eligible and should book now.

I go online and try and book.

Booking system tells me "you've already had an appointment and didn't turn up [NO I DIDN'T] so please ring the Covid 119 helpline to book another".

I ring 119 who tell me "Ooooh but you should never have been offered that first appointment [well no, it never happened] because you don't seem to be eligible at all. Perhaps you should ring your GP"

I ring the GP "No, you've definitely eligible, honestly you are"

I ring 119 "You're not on the system, so the system won't let us book you"

Now what?

Ask your GP to give you the vacci e at their next clinic.

I tried that. GP surgeries won't be doing them until after mass vaccination programme finished - so September at earliest. I'd be quicker off waiting for the general 40+ rollout (if I even get offered it then), but would really rather not wait that lone.

Please ask your GP to remove the entry that says you've already had it elsewhere. We had a patient who didn't get called up when she thought she should, we checked her patient record and her details had been wrongly inputted from another vaccination centre elsewhere (covid vaccinations are being recorded in a different system than our usual patient records) I removed the vaccination code and she was immediately eligible and able to book the same day. Definitely will need to be done by your GP practice though.

Aha, that's good to know. Thanks.

I've just had a horrific thought. About 20 years ago now, a now-estranged family member used by NHS number to gain fraudulent access from my medical records.

OMG I feel sick.
