Tesco online basket not updating.

I have been having trouble putting my order in on Tesco's website - when I add an item it appears briefly in the basket area on the right (website) and then disappears, same thing happens on the app too. Yesterdays delivery turned up with just the few bits I added two weeks ago to book the slot. I have phoned them twice and he said don't know what the problem is so will report to IT dept and get back to me - he hasn't of course.

Anybody else had this or know the solution, I have cleared cookies and refreshed the cache etc.

Tesco online ordering pages have been problematic for several weeks. This has been reported to them multiple times via a number of Twitter users.

Having cleared all Tesco cookies, I still find the site slow to load Favourites and to bring up Search items. At times, pages were freezing and using almost all CPU and memory. This improved after clearing all Tesco cookies but the site is still slow to load when using Opera as the browser.

I switched to using the Windows 10 MS Edge browser a couple of weeks ago just for Tesco C & C and have had no problems accessing the site and checking out finalised orders using Edge. If you can use another browser to the one you are currently using, I would recommend trying that.

I got a load of stuff last week I'd actually taken out off the basket! It said I'd updated as well. Fortunately it was things that could go in the freezer but the websites not been right for a while

Do you use the app as well?

Mine stops working if I’m simultaneously logged into both (if the basket is open on both)

It first became problematic for me around 26 February but may have been glitchy a few days before that. Tesco's IT people have had over two weeks to get these issues with the site sorted.

Some people also reporting problems with the site were finding the site more stable using Chrome rather than Opera (on a laptop or desktop PC).

For me, MS Edge continues to be OK for pages loading promptly, not consuming fast % of CPU and memory and for checking out without hanging etc. (Although this evening, when finalizing our C&C for collection on Monday, two items we had removed at the beginning of updating the order had to be removed again at the end, as these two changes had evidently failed to "stick".)

I use the app with no recent noticeable issues but it does seem to have a lab at times so I add something to my basket but it actually puts something else in that was say a few items higher on the same page
I've had orders come with items I didn't order turn up

It's been no different using Edge, Chrome, Firefox or the app - the fact it was the same on the app suggested to me it was an issue with my account as I had the same problem on a different device, so I made a new account with a different email address and that works perfectly with zero issues.

Three calls to customer services all promised to ring me back - nobody has of course.

I keep getting more of various items than I thought I had ordered & not getting other things I thought I had. I thought it was something I was doing wrong...

A friend had the same issue this week and half her shopping didn't arrive. She knows she ordered it as it was bread, milk etc.

I have had issues recently where the mobile app doesn't give a warning before checkout that the food offer that l have partaked in will expire before delivery.

Apparently that warning isn't available anymore.
