Does anyone have a living and dining room together?

Hi all,

Very boring but....does anyone want to share their photos of a split living room? We have a small kitchen dinner, and then a reasonably sized (for a 2 bed house anyway) lounge. There are only 3 of us in our household so don't need multiple sofas, one large corner one is fine. Can I turn the other half into move of a dining room area?? Anyone have any photos or ideas for inspiration?

TIA

This used to be common in Victorian houses with the front half as a sitting room and the back half as a dining room.

However nowadays if the kitchen is eat-in, the back half of the living room has generally been changed into something else- eg playroom, study/wfh area, piano/music space, exercise area, hobby/craft room... would any of those be useful to you?

Yes we have looked at doing a sitting/reading area....but ultimately we would like a dining table for having guests etc. The kitchen diner is small so really only enough room for us eating.
