Week in, week out, for six whole months I have been offering Fosterling 3 a spoon when I have been offering him his food and for all that time everything has gone on the floor, there were a great many days I was tempted to cut the middleman and just put the food on the floor myself. Three weeks ago he put food in his mouth and has eaten more and more since then but today, for the first time in six months he put that spoon in his mouth, not only did he put it in but he did it again and again, with fromage frais on it. Then, not only did he do it but he let me do it too. I don't mind admitting I cried. Weaning has been a long hard road but at the age of 11 months we are finally getting there.
