Just booked a last minute break to Skipsea Sands Holiday Park starting April 19th. Two adults and one dog. Will have car. Want to go up to Whitby and into York but other than that, where else is a must? Not been before. Of course this is all assuming we can go! More than happy to travel further afield for nice places.

A couple of hours in malton to stock up on picnic essentials followed by a lovely walk in the the Wolds. Wharram Percy - a deserted medieval village - is also between Malton and Brid.

Flamborough/Bempton cliffs, great beaches and wildlife,
Filey, best seaside town on this coast,
Scarborough has a sea life centre,
Pickering (North Yorkshire Moors railway),
Bridlington (great for boat trips),
Sewerby Hall and Gardens (and small zoo) was a little run down but not been for years, great walks along the cliffs from Sewerby up the coast,
Museums in York - farming museum great if you have little ones, railway museum and castle museum are great. Yorvik museum not great for small ones.
Some lovely small villages between Pickering and Scarborough.
