Can you buy stuff from in store when on shift?

I ordered stuff on C&C from Matalan and it was sad picking the item up and seeing the massive store full of product just sat for months.

I wondered if the staff at least would be able to make purchases during/at the end of their shift?

We were originally but then we weren't, for no reason. Our stock is used to fulfill online orders though.
