Apostrophe help!

goldpendant · 17/03/2021 15:37

I am having a memorial plaque made. It is to dedicate a tree to the Burnham and Radnor families. (NC'd)

How would I punctuate this part?

"A magnolia for the Burnhams and Radnors"

Does it need any apostrophes?? I think not but does the magnolia make it possessive?

TIA!

No apostrophes needed - what you have written is correct.

No apostrophe as it is plural not possessive. You would need an apostrophe if it were the other way round: the Burnhams' magnolia.

I agree - no apostrophes needed. There are no possessives or contractions.
