Advice- sending parcel to US

I have never done this before no idea how it works; please can anyone advise the best carrier to use? Im in the South West UK thank you :)

I send a parcel to a cousin on her birthday and just use the post office, works well, takes about a week to get there.

We send things to family in the USA fairly regularly and just use the Post Office.

In laws just sent us a 5kg pack and always look for deals. This one has UPS saver on it and took about 3 days

It's v expensive !

I sent a 1kg box and it was 26£.

Maybe I'd not got the vest deal!
