Do you enjoy your job?

When I started my current job my manager was horrible. Just not a people's person at all and would pick on staff to deflect from what he was (or wasn't) doing.
Me and my coworker confronted our boss about this and the manager was sacked pretty much straight away. At that time, I absolutely hated my job. The dread of it every day nearly gave me a nervous breakdown.
After my manager had gone, it was like a I had a totally new job. My coworker ended up leaving soon after and I basically have free reign over my department now.
I'm in my own office with more responsibility, the environment is much more relaxed and much less prison like. I get along with my coworkers better and I just don't hate it anymore. I rather enjoy it.

So do you hate your job? If so what would you like changing so you could enjoy it more?

I cant stand my job and particularly since lockdown I cant cope with the routine. I have to write out in the morning how to schedule in ten minutes to check my email, or `say 15 minutes for lunch. Otherwise I get up, I have to be at the computer at 8.30 sharp followed by back to back zoom calls with no time to actually work. I cant go for a walk, cant take any down time and at 6pm when work finishes I then have to clean up, make dinner, do admin, go bed. I do this day in day out apart from weekends. All my own life projects are on hold. Work colleagues are in general very challenging/both managers and co workers. I cant imagine going back into the office after the restrictions relax. Having worked in many different roles over my career some are just more toxic than others but overall work has changed dramatically over my career - in the 80s work was fun/hard work. Now its just hard.

I love my job except for when I hate it. It is the only job I have ever wanted to do. I love making a difference to people and supporting them. I work with some amazing people and am lucky enough to have a very supportive manager. The job is also very sad sometimes, very stressful most of the time, frustrating, exhausting. Like yesterday, most days I laugh but also almost cry during my 13hr shift

In part, but if I could afford to retire, I would without hesitation. It's much better than it was, there having been a few terrible managers, and we are trusted to get on with it to a great extent. People who like, or love, their jobs are very lucky.

I love my job, its an area I've always wanted to get into but never had the qualifications or experience to make the leap. But a role came up in the company I worked for and they were willing to take a chance on me.

It's been 6 months now and it's stressful at times, but I'm still so happy with it, it feels like a more natural fit for my personality/ abilities than my previous role. Does help I've got a really good team and supportive managers.
