Am I entitled to SSP?

I recently had to take 5 days off work sick due to a miscarriage. My boss has always refused to pay sick pay or SSP. I have worked at my company for 5 years and am hourly paid on 27 hours per week over 5 days.
Gov websites say I'm entitled to SSP from day 3 but my boss didn't pay it in my wages. I submitted a self cert and gave it to her hoping she would then put in writing that she won't pay it so I can pursue via HMRC but she hasn't yet. To complicate things I have put in my notice and leave in 3 weeks. What can I do to claim the SSP due for those 2 days? Tia

Get in touch with ACAS. Paying SSP isn't optional.

Thanks I know that they have been told this but have ignored it in the past. Luckily I haven't been off longer than 3 days before so haven't been in this situation. Does it have to be sorted before I leave?
