Personal reference

I've been asked to provide a personal reference for someone to use in court - a character reference. I'm really struggling to write it as I have no imagination. What would you write ?

Depends on how you are connected to the person requiring the reference. I did it for a guy I worked with and after saying how long I had known him and that we socialised outside work I referred to the level of responsibility he had within the company. Mentioned that he was entrusted to deal with large amounts of company money both incoming and out going and that he dealt with clients who were household names (can't say how on MN it'd be outing) and, in short, showed that as far as I knew he was a sound and reliable chap in all respects.
