Recommendation for restaurants in York

After Nicola Sturgeons announcement today its looking like we'll definitely get away for a belated mini-moon/1st anniversary trip to York.

Our anniversary falls on a Sunday but we'd love to go somewhere a bit special. Nothing too fancy as my husband isn't into that but you know, something a bit nicer than your average restaurant.
We love Thai, Indian, Greek, Middle Eastern. Anything really although would say Italian is our least favourite. And im vegetarian.

Would love some recommendations that I can look into and see if we can get somewhere booked. Finally something to look forward to!!

The Star Inn the City is great especially if the weather is good and you can sit out. It's right on the river. Have a look at the website to see the terrace area

The Star Inn does great Sunday roasts, but you won’t want the beef if you’re vegetarian. Nice outside area to sit and have a drink. Roots is also worth a look.
I’m not sure if Meltons is open on a Sunday - and Melton Too went ages ago.
