Help me not eat please!! - or smoke

I want a fag, I REALLY want a fag, day 4 of giving up, didn’t do it for 10 years then started again a couple of years ago now I’m done. It smells, it’s expensive and it’s gross, but so so enjoyable.

Anyway help me not just eat, I’ve eaten constantly all morning, lost over 6 stone a few years ago. I don’t want to just say h cancerous favs for obesity FFS!! I’m on the fit a healthy aim!

So what can I do to stop the constant craving of either go smoke or eat something??

Chew some form of mint/gum/sweets/dates/frozen grapes
Watch Netflix
Play something on your phone
Tell yourself it's a craving that will go away
Have a hot drink, something not associated with cigarettes so soup, hot chocolate, mint tea
Vape
Knit/paint/crochet

I quit a 30 a day habit with a vape

I think it’s actually work. If I’m “free” I’m cleaning, sorting kids etc. Etc. So exactly that, “busy” stuff to not eat/smoke. So the weekend was ok.

But I’m WFH say on zoom ALLLLLL day, and then the evenings and that’s when I am stuffing my face. Need something that I can zoom/watch tv and not eat.

Get some polos and see how thin you can get them without crunching them. Or fruit pastels. Something you have to concentrate on...

I tend to find some small sewing/stitching/repairs and that draws me in. I always have something on the go, currently making some facemasks, but will be making a denim tassel next.

I found nicorette gum really took the edge off the cravings, then giving up the gum took another 4 or 5 months, but tbh I was a 40 a day smoker. Put on 2 stone but hey . . .. Well done so far 😎
