Advice needed for primary6 child glasgow

Hi i am a mum of an 11 year old who has started Hillhead primary school in glasgow. My son is very shy and really wants some friends. Have any mums got any tips how to go about this. Feel so upset he is not making friends x

Phone the school and speak to his teacher or the head teacher and ask if they can make sure he isn’t alone at playtime/lunch. If he’s shy maybe don’t tell him you’re doing this. Hillhead is a massive school so it’s easy for a shy child to be missed. You could also take him to the park after school I used to work in the attached nursery and there was always loads of kids in there after school.
