If you were a tv remote control where would you hide..?

Not to be dramatic but I'm losing my mind here!

It's been missing for about 6 months, thank god for the spare we had but it's driving me crazy thinking a remote control can just vanish into thin air!

I've turned the house upside down for it on several occasions, searched everywhere I could possibly think. My house is organised and tidy so so I don't get where it could possibly be?!

Unfortunately not a Sky remote!

I'm going to tear my house apart again tomorrow when everyone's at school/nursery!

The bin is in a pull out cupboard that toddler can't get too, so quite unlikely it could of ended up in the bin. Also no visitors in those 6 months so definitely not gone home in someone else's bag. Checked on top of kitchen cupboard /bookcases etc as that's where I tend to put it if the tv isn't to go on..

I don't know why this is bothering me so much 😂

My toddler hid our remote in a glass of water today!

A vase? Ornament?

Ours went missing at Christmas. We found it last week in a jigsaw box- said jigsaw had been a Christmas present and we did it in the lounge so I think DD packed the jigsaw away and decided to pack the remote with it! I know how you feel, we spent hours looking for it!

Could it have gotten into a box or somewhere like that? Or If you have a sofa that is very steep down the side could it have disappeared down there?

Deep within the sofa having taken an unusual route through and ending up at the back between the frame and upper rather than between the cushions like usual.
True story.

We gave up looking after 3 months and bought a new TV as it was too painful trying to follow The Handmaids Tale without subtitles and access to most functions. It turned up at the start of lockdown after being missing for 9 months!

DH now uses the TV as an extra large computer monitor for WFH so it all worked out quite neatly really

Ours went missing years ago for a few days and was found in the middle of a ferney plant.

I have heard of a set of keys being found months later in the freezer.

Check every coat pocket.

I had to tear the bottom of my sofa to get the remote

As a pre schooler my son once put the remote in his story book bag and took it to pre school for a week. I assume he wanted to watch tv at pre school? Check any Wendy houses, dens, reading tents etc.

So I've searched the entire house and no luck, I think it's safe to say it's gone for good!
