Dramatic Teenagers

Are all teenagers so bloody dramatic?

Has eye strain (from spending far too long looking at screens I imagine).

Goes to optician who prescribes glasses, prescription isn’t particularly strong.

Picks up glasses. Cries within an hour of getting them as she thought they’d magically fix her eye strain induced headaches.

What if my glasses are the wrong prescription, I don’t think they help me see... ad infinitum...

It’s so bloody draining to live with.

I spend my days smiling, nodding and saying ahh and hmm a lot, I find the less engagement the better...I have 2 teenagers the drama is sometimes real to them I tend to not give a shit.

I'd act really concerned about the eyestrain OP, then tell her to reduce all screen time to lessons only. No social media, no TV. "Leave your phone here... you might get eye strain". It'll soon fix itself.

Tried that🙄 offered to print out school work so she doesn’t make it worse looking at a screen.

There’s always an excuse.
