Headphones to sleep in to drown out neighbour noise?

Can anyone recommend any to me that they've found work well for sleeping with? The walls here are very thin and we hear EVERYTHING. I've been sleeping with the TV on but even that doesn't drown out the bangs and clumps throughout the entire night.

I had to use these

AND play rain, loudly, on an app on my phone to drown out the neighbours. I don’t think headphones would be comfortable to sleep in tbh. Have you asked them to be quieter?

I have noise cancelling headphones BUT I have to double up. So foam earplugs then headphones playing something to drop me off to sleep. Either on their own are not enough. It is uncomfortable and can get ear ache but it’s that or no sleep.

My preferred option is

The don't completely block out all noise but I find perhaps because they are so close to my ears that I can tune out everything else. I mostly fall asleep pretty quickly when wearing them, so wouldn't recommend for situations where you need to stay awake.

I don't think you're supposed to wear actual headphones to sleep in, as they can hurt your ears?

I don't have a link, but I use Boots foam earplugs to sleep when my very loud neighbour is being noisy. A PP has linked to the little cylinder shaped earplugs above, but I find the Boots green cone-shaped ones far more effective and more comfortable for sleeping in.

As an aside my local boots has a whole big section for earplugs now, so I guess there's been a huge increase in demand during lockdown! (They only stocked 1 type of earplug before)

My husband uses a headband with earphones built into it, that doubles as a sleep mask, that he plays white noise or podcasts through to help him sleep. He finds it really comfortable and it seems effective as he doesn't seem to wake up when I get in after midnight or leave for work at 5am, whereas before my hours used to cause some issues. I think it came from amazon

Playing rain or waves crashing on Alexa was really effective at drowned out building work when I was working night shifts.

It is really soothing.

Thank you for the recommendations! Those headband things look comfy! I haven’t spoken to neighbours about the noise because they aren’t approachable and i live in fear of them ramping it up even more. I had three hours sleep last night so if it got worse it would kill me off 😂
