When to stop using baby monitor?

DD is 11.5 months and sleeping consistently through the night. If she does wake up and cry we can hear her down the hall.

So I am wondering about turning the video monitor off at night, at the moment she is quite a noisy sleeper - moving around her cot / snuffling / usual baby noises etc. I turned the volume down last night and got a great sleep but wondering if I’m missing something - how long did everyone else use theirs for / have the volume on?

I used it when I was downstairs and the kids were upstairs so the parent unit was in the living room. I never had it in our bedroom as I could hear them anyway

2yrs here and still use the video monitor (sound off). But now that he's in a toddler bed vs cot it's handy to be able to check he's still in bed and not trying to escape his room. Or when he cries in the night, we can see if he's resettling himself or if we need to go in

I turn the volume off on mine, nice to have a quick check on the video but like you said you can hear them anyway if they do wake!

I still use mine, but with sound really low. I only hear cries or loud chatter so it doesn’t disturb me. DD is 18 months
